Grace, You've prepared well. Take this list with you on your trip and read it to yourself if you become tempted. Take some coping mechanisms with you like gum, candy, crossword just in case and most importantly have fun! You can do this! We know you will pass this test with flying colors and we look forward to hearing all about it when you get back. Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team

Grace: Sounds like your ready I'll say an extra prayer for you. When I first quit I'd offer up all my temptations to smoke up for someone else that i was praying for so. I'll be with you in spirit. Take care. The first road trip is difficult. But, you will spend alot more time talking with your child instead of being lost in your own head feeding the addiction. You can play some of the road trip games with the kid, (I spy, the alphabet game) sing songs, dance in your seats, or have the child read a book to you. I like chewing on straws. When you arrive you can spend alot to time with your parents. The smoking sisters will be a big challenge. I would stay away from bars or drinking in excess with your sisters. Sit outside and visit with them. If the cravings come DISTRACT, DELAY, LEAVE THE SITUATION, and go inside and be with your parents. Have a wonderful smoke free vacation. I just returned from a vacation and I am so proud that I did not have one puff. You can do it. You will be proud also. Have fun!
