What to Expect when you Quit!

4 godine 0 19 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 1

This is fantastic!

I am currently cutting back on alcohol. I successfully quit smoking 8 years ago when I had my kids. I used a lot of these ideas. It is a great reminder for me because I can use a lot of these tips while trying to quit moderate alcohol. I have bookmarked it so I can refer back to it

Thanks for this Timbo.

Bump up for new quitters.

You CAN do this, just tough it out. If you slip, get right back on your quit journey. Never give up, NEVER surrender! ?

Hello all you new Butt-kickers!!!

I just found this thread and thought it may be helpful!!!  I hope that many will read or re-read this thread, think about it and add your own 2 cents to the conversation!

I expect that this time of year may be especially hard on some of you new quitters!  Just remember, that you CAN do this, even with all of the holiday triggers that may arise!  There's always lots going on this time of year and the Forums may get even slower than they are now.  There will still be plenty of folks here to drop you a line of encouragement, so just remember to reach out, rant or ask for help if you need a hand!  I'll try to find some good threads to bump forward for information and motivation, so stick close and remember to live by N.O.P.E. every day!

     Happy Holidays!

            Jim

Yes a lot of stress and anxiety I guess. I think it's getting easier when I smell ciggs(they still appeal to me) and see folks smoking. I don't want what they have, a monkey hangin' on. One drag is all it tkes to wake him up. all the best My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 28 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 476 Amount Saved: $112.00 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 5 Mins: 22 Seconds: 50

Mr Lucky, Hang in there, I'm also on chantix and around the same quit time as you. Think about the reason you are craving, are you bored, do you have stress in your life, have you forgotten your reasons for quitting. Identify the reason for the crave and then you have to realize you ARE STRONGER than the crave!! Don't give in now, Chantix is a wonderful tool to help us quit smoking, but you have to also stay strong!
