Thanks for all of your responses - it really helps to know that what I'm experiencing is common and that it does and will get better. Lucky - I basically slept through the first few days of my quit. I quit on a Saturday and spent much of that weekend in bed. Monday, I had to leave work early - couldn't keep my eyes open. But, by the time I got home I couldn't sleep. Anyway, it seems that it's all a part of the process! Let the toxins be gone! Scary to think how much nicotine effected our bodies (and our minds!). Glad to be in such good company during this journey. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 621 Amount Saved: $110.5 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 11 Mins: 54 Seconds: 18

I am very proud of my stats, and feel 100% committed to my new life as a non-smoker. Having made that clear, I am struggling with extreme fatigue since quitting. I am sooo sleepy most of the time. My sleeping is messed up - I alternate between insomnia and hypersonmia. Is anyone else or has anyone else experienced this? Mary - I know!!! I've never really been a napper, but now I could win an Olympic medal in it! I'm actually enjoying my Chantix dreams (for the most part) - they are generally very vivid & very entertaining! Okay, so I'll bank on Phil's word that this does get better. Otherwise, I'm going to have to find a new job...one that allows me to work from a horizontal position! Hello Changing - Your name says it all, my friend. You are healing, your body, mind and spirit are healing now. I took so many little catnaps when I first quit, and I slept and slept - we need to rest and to follow our body's lead, so just do what your body tells you to do as much as you can. Your body will definitely let you know what it needs - just listen carefully to it... Fatigue is a facet of the quit for many of us. Just take it one day at a time, and be kind and gentle w/yourself while you heal, dear one. Blessings and Light- Healer My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 372 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13,040 Amount Saved: $1729.8 Life Gained: Days: 48 Hrs: 17 Mins: 27 Seconds: 42
