Dear Tova, Welcome to the Depression Center!! Side effects of medications can be difficult to contend with. Some are definitely more manageable than others. I would suggest discussing your concerns with your Doctor, that way you can decide together what treatment is best for you. Keep posting your thoughts and concerns there are people here with a lot of great knowledge and advice. Susanne

I am new to the group. I have been very depressed for months now. I have a diagnosis of bi-polar disorder and currently take tegretol and welbutrin. My depression does not seem to be getting better and I am so tired of feeling so numb, sad, energyless, worthless and not able to enjoy anything. I wonder if I should ask my doctor about adding an SSRI to my meds. I was on one 6 months ago but went off due to sexual side effects and weight gain. I now question whether that was a poor decision. Any advice? suggestions?
