Pretty much the same as Luna; some increase 21 to 14...I start 7mg sunday. I've read a bit about this and it seems to vary a lot from person to person. But I've never read that it's like the first week or anything remotely like it. Be prepared though and you'll be ok. Hi all, I am going to step down the strength of my patch tommorrow and I was wondering what your experiences have been. I am a little worried that it may be like starting over again! I go from 21mg to 14mg. All your input would be appreciated! Hi Independance, I was on the 21mg for 4 weeks, 14mg for 2 weeks and 7mg for another 2 weeks. Each time I worried and fretted, and each time went great. I didn't notice any differences in my moods or craves at all. Just try not to stress over it or overthink it and you'll do fine as well. When I went from 21 to 14, I noticed some increase in craves....but it was a minor increase, and was NOTHING like the misery and tears of hell week. I prepared myself for the worst and planned to give myself a little extra time and a few extra rewards for the first couple of days of my step down. But it was really no big deal. Then the step down to 7 mg was a non-event. I moved that step down up because I discovered one day that I had forgotten my patch and had forgotten about cigarettes for four hours. So I just decided not to put it on! Wonders never cease! I stayed on each dose four weeks....the first step down I "thought" I noticed a difference for a couple of days.....but in hindsight it may just have been worry that I was gonna feel a difference? the last step down and the running naked....I felt no difference at all......unless you count that wonderful, awesome feeling of FREEDOM!! hang tough....sometimes it's only as hard as you make it?
