How do I survive a long trip on the train or the bus

Hey. I realize it's an old thread, but I guess people go through these threads anyway - without replying. I hate long drives, I get really anxious - especially if I'm driving to a place I've never been before. I usually just hold this thought in my head while driving: "Ok, so if I start feeling panicky, I can always just pull over, sit down with the door open, and let the panic pass" That keeps me pretty calm, as I know that the attacks always go away anyway, it's just a matter of minutes.

I have to take Xanax. Car rides don't really get me too much, as do the thoughts of plane rides. And small places..closed in, like going to the movies. I literally have to get up, walk around. Try some short breaks on the way to breathe some fresh air and clear your mind. Good luck!

hi everyone, This weekend I have to attend a formal gathering and it's out of town. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to survive the long car ride without having a panic attack.
