Long-term Rewards

Hey HotGlass,

The scuba is a great idea. When I was going to try a scuba lesson, they insisted on medical clearance, since your lungs have to be in decent shape. My Dr. almost didn't give it to me, due to the fact that I was smoking. Since you've been healing your lungs for a few years now, scuba seems like a great reward.

Ashley,

I've kind of already indulged in some long term rewards, as they are rewards that I continuously purchase, use and enjoy:

1) My phone upgrade--went from 7 year old flip phone with calling plan only to smart phone with data, texting, etc. Gives me something to do with my hands besides when I'm waiting f, or something.
2) My gym membership. A way to relieve tension, have an exercise option in all kinds of weather, hopefully whittle off some of these quit-smoking pounds, improve my health, and be around others who want to be healthy.
3) According to my calculations, after these two additional expenses, I'm still coming up ahead on cash each month.   Hoping to save that away for a rainy day.

Hey Ashley!

Here's my long term wish list and what I have been able to spend my "mad money" on:

55" Super awesome television... bought and paid for!
      New Laptop Computer.............   "        "      "      "  !!!
Scuba Diving Trip ....................  Next on the list and close to the goal!

Many here have wondered what happened to that money!     Well, you don't have to wonder... sock that stuff away for something that you really want... a REWARD!!!  It makes quitting even more worth it!!!  Besides freedom from the addiction, the rewards from your savings is another prize to keep your eyes on!

As you move into the maintenance part of your quit, it is still important to reward yourself. Many choose long-term rewards they can save for such as a trip, an expensive camera or other.

What is your long-term reward?
