Topic: Mild or low tar cigarettes are not safer

Here are a few facts to help dispel this myth:

* Research has shown that mild, light or low tar cigarettes are just as harmful as regular cigarettes as smokers change their smoking habits. Ex: They smoke more cigarettes, inhale deeply, take more puffs, cut filters... all to satisfy their nicotine addiction they've built up.

* The ingredient list in mild, light and low tar are almost identical.

* The amount of tar, carbon monoxide or nicotine between regular, light and other cigarettes.

The only way to to reduce the harmful effects of tobacco is to cut down or better yet quit!
