Someday Isle - Combatting Perfectionism

13 godina 0 4027 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
"Someday Isle" is the name given to the false future we imagine by procrastinating by thinking "...someday I'll (you fill in the blank)...".  I'm motivational speaker Denis Waitley was my inspirationg.

I seem to think I have to live "perfectly" but it became clearer, as I escaped my circular thinking this morning, that I have fewer choices than I think.

I escaped my obsessive thinking to take down the laundry, realizing that how few choices I really have.  If I began to declutter to move today for example, I'll bet it would take a long time.  I would stil have to continue doing laundry I realized, and all the other mundane tasks that need to be done, like cooking, shopping, exercising every other day, going to church on sunday.

Anybody out there put off things forever, living life without realzing that we have finite resources like time with each other?
